Introduction

WasteMatch Technologies, Inc. is a Delaware corporation registered to conduct business in the State of Georgia as a foreign corporation pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 14-2-1501 et seq., with its principal place of business in Atlanta, Georgia. WasteMatch operates a technology-enabled managed peer-to-peer marketplace that connects Clients seeking property and home services with independent Service Professionals who provide those services.

We are committed to protecting the privacy, personal information, and digital rights of everyone who interacts with our Marketplace - including Clients, Service Professionals, job applicants, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains in plain terms what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.

BY ACCESSING WASTEMATCH.COM, CREATING AN ACCOUNT, BOOKING A SERVICE, SUBSCRIBING AS A SERVICE PROFESSIONAL, OR INTERACTING WITH THE PLATFORM IN ANY WAY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION, USE, AND DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY CEASE ALL USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Section 1 - Scope and Who This Policy Applies To

1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to all of the following individuals:

  • Clients who browse, request, book, or pay for Services through the Platform
  • Service Professionals who apply to join, participate in, or maintain an active subscription in the WasteMatch Pro Network
  • All registered users of the Platform regardless of user type
  • Visitors who browse wastematch.com without creating an account
  • Individuals who interact with the WasteMatch AI chatbot, voice assistant, or any automated communication tool
  • Individuals who contact WasteMatch by phone, email, text message, or any other communication channel
  • Representatives of businesses or property management companies who interact with the Platform on behalf of their organizations
  • Job applicants who submit information through our Careers page

1.2 This Privacy Policy does not apply to the independent privacy practices of Service Professionals. WasteMatch is not responsible for how Service Professionals handle personal information they independently collect or observe in the course of performing Services.

1.3 This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into WasteMatch's Marketplace Terms of Service.

Section 2 - Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Contact and Identity Information: Full legal name, email address, phone number, and physical or property address.

Account Registration Information: Username, password (encrypted), profile photo, and account preferences.

Service Request Information: Description of the service needed, photos of the area or items, property details, access instructions, scheduling preferences, and any special conditions or known hazards at the property.

Service Professional Application Information: Service categories offered, years of experience, operating area, equipment owned, insurance status and documentation, business name, and any additional information provided during the Pro Network application process.

Background Screening Information: For Service Professional applicants, name, date of birth, address history, and identification information required for background screening. This information is processed by our third-party background screening provider and subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Insurance Documentation: Certificates of insurance, policy numbers, insurance company information, and coverage details provided by Service Professionals.

Payment Information: Billing name, payment card details or bank account information for payment processing, and billing address. Payment card data is processed exclusively through Stripe and is not stored on WasteMatch servers. We retain limited payment metadata such as the last four digits of a card, payment method type, and transaction confirmation numbers.

Job Documentation: Before and after photographs submitted by Service Professionals upon job completion. These images may contain visual information about properties, interiors, or service areas.

Reviews and Ratings: Content you submit as reviews or ratings of Service Professionals or the Platform.

Communications: Any information provided when contacting us by phone, email, text message, chatbot, voice assistant, or through any form on the Platform, including service inquiries, complaints, dispute communications, and feedback.

Career Application Information: Full name, email address, phone number, area of professional interest, LinkedIn profile URL if provided, resume, and personal statement.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website or use the Platform, we and our third-party partners may automatically collect:

Device and Technical Information: Device type, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address.

Usage and Navigation Data: Pages visited, time spent on each page, links clicked, navigation paths, features accessed, search queries entered, and listings viewed.

Location Information: General geographic location derived from your IP address for the purpose of pre-populating service area search fields and matching you with nearby Service Professionals. We use IP-based geolocation services and do not require GPS or device location permissions.

Chatbot and Voice Assistant Logs: Transcripts, recordings, and interaction data from your use of the WasteMatch AI chatbot or voice assistant. By interacting with these tools you consent to the recording and processing of those interactions.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: WasteMatch uses session cookies, persistent cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies. See Section 8 for details.

Anonymous Analytics Data: WasteMatch collects anonymous, first-party analytics about how the website is used - pages viewed, general interaction patterns such as which buttons and links are clicked, device type, and traffic source. This data is tied only to a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored in your own browser, not to your name, email, phone number, or any other personal information. We use it solely to understand how the site is performing and to improve the service. If you complete a booking, the session that led to that booking may be associated with your booking record for standard order attribution. Visitors who never book remain fully anonymous, and their browsing data is never cross-referenced with any other data source.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

WasteMatch may receive information about you from the following third-party sources:

  • Background screening providers processing Service Professional applications
  • Stripe and other payment processors providing transaction and fraud detection data
  • Analytics and marketing platforms providing aggregated visitor data
  • Identity verification services
  • Social login providers if you choose to register using a third-party account

Section 3 - How We Use Your Information

WasteMatch uses personal information for the following lawful purposes:

Service Delivery: To process, dispatch, match, coordinate, and fulfill service requests, including using AI-powered matching to connect Clients with qualified Service Professionals.

Account Management: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and maintain your preferences.

Communication: To send booking confirmations, job dispatch notifications, service completion confirmations, photo documentation, payment receipts, account alerts, and any other communications necessary to the performance of Services.

Payment Processing: To process Client payments, issue Service Professional payouts, manage subscription billing, and handle refunds and disputes.

Background Screening and Vetting: To conduct background checks on Service Professional applicants, verify insurance documentation, and evaluate qualifications.

Safety and Incident Management: To document, investigate, and respond to accidents, injuries, property damage, sexual misconduct allegations, theft, or any other incidents reported in connection with any job.

Dispute Resolution: To investigate and resolve disputes between Clients and Service Professionals, including using photo documentation, communication logs, and transaction records as evidence.

Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable legal obligations under Georgia law, Delaware law, federal law, and any applicable regulations, including tax reporting obligations such as IRS Form 1099-NEC issuance.

Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, identify technical issues, improve Platform functionality and user experience, and develop new features and service categories.

Marketing and Communications: To send marketing communications, promotional offers, and platform updates where you have consented or where we have a legitimate business interest. You may opt out at any time.

Safety and Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and investigate fraudulent activity, unauthorized access, security incidents, misuse of the Platform, off-platform solicitation, and any conduct violating our Terms of Service.

Business Intelligence: To prepare anonymized, aggregated operational data and performance metrics for internal reporting, investor communications, and product development.

Legal Protection: To enforce our Terms of Service and Pro Network Agreement, protect the rights, safety, and interests of WasteMatch and our users, and respond to legal process.

Section 4 - How We Share Your Information

WasteMatch does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

With Service Professionals: When a Client books a job, WasteMatch shares the relevant job details, property address, and Client contact information with the dispatched Service Professional. Clients consent to this sharing by submitting a booking.

With Clients: When a Service Professional is matched or dispatched, WasteMatch may share the Service Professional's name, profile information, and contact details with the Client to facilitate coordination.

With Third-Party Service Providers: WasteMatch shares information with vendors who assist in operating the Platform, including Stripe (payment processing), background screening providers, cloud hosting providers, SMS and email communication providers (including Twilio for text notifications), analytics and marketing platforms, AI and technology providers powering our dispatch system and chatbot, and customer relationship management software providers. All service providers are required to handle personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

With Legal and Regulatory Authorities: WasteMatch may disclose personal information to law enforcement, courts, government regulators, or other legal authorities when required by applicable law, court order, or subpoena, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect the safety of any person, prevent fraud or illegal activity, or protect WasteMatch's rights and interests.

In Connection with Safety Incidents: In the event of a reported safety incident, sexual misconduct allegation, assault, theft, or other criminal conduct, WasteMatch may share relevant information with law enforcement authorities regardless of whether a formal legal process has been initiated.

In Connection with Business Transactions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, financing, or reorganization, personal information may be transferred to the successor entity. WasteMatch will provide notice of any such transfer and describe material changes to privacy practices.

With Professional Advisors: WasteMatch may share personal information with attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurance providers, and other professional advisors subject to confidentiality obligations.

With Your Consent: WasteMatch may share your personal information with third parties when you have provided explicit consent.

Aggregated and Anonymized Data: WasteMatch may share aggregated, anonymized data that does not identify individual users with partners, investors, or the public.

Section 5 - Data Retention

5.1 WasteMatch retains personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

5.2 The following retention guidelines apply:

  • Client booking records and job documentation: minimum five years from the date of the job
  • Service Professional application and network records: minimum three years from termination from the Pro Network
  • Payment transaction records: minimum seven years for tax and financial compliance
  • Photo documentation submitted by Service Professionals: minimum five years
  • Incident, safety, and sexual misconduct reports: minimum seven years or as required by applicable law
  • Background screening records: as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable law
  • Chatbot and voice assistant interaction logs: minimum two years
  • Career application records: minimum two years

5.3 WasteMatch may retain personal information beyond these periods where required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, enforcement, or protection of legal rights. When information is no longer needed, WasteMatch will securely delete or anonymize it.

Section 6 - Data Security

6.1 WasteMatch implements commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, and loss. These measures include encrypted data transmission using SSL/TLS protocols, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, regular security assessments, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe.

6.2 No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. WasteMatch cannot guarantee absolute security and is not responsible for unauthorized access that occurs despite reasonable security measures.

6.3 In the event of a data breach affecting personal information of Georgia residents, WasteMatch will provide notice in accordance with the Georgia Personal Identity Protection Act, O.C.G.A. Section 10-1-910 through 10-1-915, in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay.

6.4 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify WasteMatch immediately at connect@getwastematch.co if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Section 7 - Georgia Data Protection Compliance

7.1 WasteMatch complies with the Georgia Personal Identity Protection Act, O.C.G.A. Section 10-1-910 through 10-1-915, which governs the protection of personal information and data breach notification requirements for Georgia businesses.

7.2 In the event of a qualifying security breach, WasteMatch will notify affected Georgia residents by written notice to their last known mailing address, electronic notice to the email address on file, or conspicuous posting on the Platform, in accordance with O.C.G.A. Section 10-1-912.

Section 8 - Cookies and Tracking Technologies

8.1 WasteMatch uses the following categories of cookies and similar tracking technologies:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for the Platform to function. Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics Cookies: Collect aggregated information about Platform usage to improve features and user experience.
  • Marketing Cookies: Used to display relevant advertising to users across websites.
  • Functionality Cookies: Remember preferences and settings to improve your experience.

8.2 You may manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit Platform functionality.

8.3 WasteMatch uses IP-based geolocation technology to automatically pre-populate your ZIP code or service area in search fields. This does not require GPS or device location permissions and may be overridden at any time.

Section 9 - Federal Privacy Law Compliance

WasteMatch complies with all applicable federal privacy laws, including:

  • Electronic Communications Privacy Act (18 U.S.C. Section 2510 et seq.) - governing interception of electronic communications
  • Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. Section 1030) - governing unauthorized computer access
  • Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (15 U.S.C. Section 6501 et seq.) - WasteMatch does not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18
  • CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. Section 7701 et seq.) - governing commercial email communications
  • Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. Section 227) - WasteMatch obtains consent before sending automated text messages
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act - governing background screening practices

Section 10 - Children's Privacy

10.1 The WasteMatch Platform is not directed to individuals under eighteen years of age. WasteMatch does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen.

10.2 If WasteMatch discovers personal information has been collected from a person under eighteen, it will promptly delete that information.

10.3 If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to WasteMatch, contact us immediately at connect@getwastematch.co.

Section 11 - Safety Incident Data

11.1 WasteMatch takes reports of safety incidents, sexual misconduct, assault, harassment, theft, property damage, and other harmful conduct involving Platform users with the utmost seriousness.

11.2 When a safety incident is reported, WasteMatch may collect and retain detailed records of the incident including communications, photos, booking data, user account information, and any other relevant data.

11.3 WasteMatch may share incident-related information with law enforcement, insurance companies, legal counsel, and other parties as necessary to respond to, investigate, or resolve the incident.

11.4 Incident records are retained for a minimum of seven years or as required by applicable law.

Section 12 - Artificial Intelligence and Automated Decision-Making

12.1 WasteMatch uses an AI-powered matching and dispatch system to connect service requests with available Service Professionals based on service category, geographic proximity, availability, pro rating, and response time. This automated system affects which Service Professional is matched to a particular job.

12.2 The WasteMatch chatbot and voice assistant collect and process information provided during interactions. Logs may be reviewed by WasteMatch personnel for quality assurance and improvement.

12.3 WasteMatch may use automated systems to detect fraudulent activity, verify documentation, and flag potential violations. Adverse actions based on automated detection are subject to human review upon request.

Section 13 - Your Rights and Choices

Access and Correction: You may request access to the personal information WasteMatch holds about you and request correction of inaccurate information. Submit requests to connect@getwastematch.co with the subject line "Data Access Request."

Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to exceptions where retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, safety incident records, or enforcement of agreements.

Opt-Out of Marketing: You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, replying STOP to any marketing text, or contacting us at connect@getwastematch.co. You will continue to receive transactional communications necessary to Services.

Cookie Preferences: Manage cookies through your browser settings as described in Section 8.

No Sale of Data: WasteMatch does not sell personal information. No opt-out of sale is required.

Response Timeframe: WasteMatch will respond to rights requests within thirty days. Identity verification may be required before processing a request.

14.1 The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. WasteMatch is not responsible for their privacy practices and encourages you to review their policies independently.

Section 15 - Interstate Data Transfers

15.1 WasteMatch is a Delaware corporation operating primarily in Georgia. Personal information may be stored and processed on servers located in the United States. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information within the United States.

15.2 As WasteMatch expands operations to additional states, personal information will continue to be processed in the United States. WasteMatch will comply with applicable privacy laws in each state where it operates.

Section 16 - Business Transfers and Acquisitions

16.1 In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, personal information may be transferred to the successor entity. WasteMatch will notify affected users and describe any material changes to privacy practices.

Section 17 - Changes to This Privacy Policy

17.1 WasteMatch reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted at wastematch.com/privacy with an updated effective date. For material changes, WasteMatch will provide advance notice via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform following an updated Privacy Policy constitutes acceptance.
